What is the major difference between a CD and DVD?

CD and DVD sound like they are similar but they are different from each other both are carefully designed to perform different tasks. CDs mostly uses audio and program files and DVD is often used for video and program files.
CD (Compact Disk)
CDs are mostly used to store data. Before cd Floppy was used, whose work was to collect data from the computer instead of Floppy, the CD has been kept.
